What are residential proxies?

Residential proxies are huge global networks of residential IP addresses billed by data usage and offering unlimited proxy strings. Best suited for data scraping or activities requiring large numbers of IP addresses.

What are ISP proxies?

ISP proxies are dedicated IP addresses announced on residential Tier 1 networks such as AT&T for quality but hosted in datacenters for speed. Best suited for activities requiring high quality fast static IP addresses.

What are datacenter proxies?

Datacenter proxies are dedicated IP addresses announced and hosted in datacenters. Best suited for activities requiring fast static IP addresses but not a residential IP such as ISP proxies.

What are mobile proxies?

Mobile proxies are IP addresses announced on Mobile networks such as T-Mobile over a 3G, 4G or 5G connection and billed by the node which effectively acts like a mobile device. Best suited for social media or activities that are typically done over a mobile connection.

What is the difference between 'Mixed' & 'Subnet'?

IP addresses are ordered sequentially in blocks known as subnets and the most common size is a /24 (256 IP addresses). When bans occur they typically happen across a full /24 at the same time.
• Subnet - Whole /24 block so other users are unable to cause bans but if banned it will likely mean the whole 256 IP are banned at once.
• Mixed - Mixed across multiple subnets so if bans occur only a small amount of the IPs will be affected but other users can cause bans because the blocks are broken up amongst different customers.

What type of proxy authentication do you use?

All proxies are USER:PASS authentication.

What ratio of proxies to accounts / tasks do I need?

You should always use 1:1 proxies to accounts / tasks to avoid bans.

How can I use proxies in a web browser?

Please see browser import guides.

Why are my proxies showing an incorrect location?

Geolocation can vary drastically depending on the website or database. We monitor and maintain the commercial databases used by all major websites. Results displayed from miscellaneous databases are out of date and will not impact proxy performance. For an accurate result please check the location on Nord VPN IP lookup.

Why are my proxies slow?

If the proxy server is far from your location it can increase latency and slow down your connection.
